Aims and Scope
JOURNAL OF METALS AND METALLURGY (JMM) is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed international journal with a wide-ranging coverage, consolidates research activities in all experimental and theoretical aspects of metallic materials, intermetallic compounds, alloys, blends, composites, their manufacturing, processing, fabrication, chemical, physical, electrical, thermal, mechanical properties, electro-plating, coating, macro/micro/nanostructures, spectroscopy, characterization, crystallography, mining, metallurgical extraction and engineering, consumer production, industrial applications, and recycling into a single and unique reference source. This journal provides an international medium for scientists, engineers and technocrats to publish original full- length research articles, reviews with author'sphoto and biography, short communications of important new scientific and technological findings, encompassing the fundamental and applied research in all disciplines of the chemistry, physics, materials science and engineering. The peer-reviewed proceedings of scientific meetings, symposia and workshops related to porous materials are also published.

  • Iron and Steel: high-temperature processes, iron-making, steelmaking, casting and solidification, chemical and physical analysis, forming processing and thermo-mechanical treatment, welding and joining, surface treatment and corrosion, transformations and microstructure, mechanical properties, physical properties, computation and simulation, new materials and processes, stainless steel, carbon steel, recycling, metallurgical applications, steel industry.
  • Non-ferrous Metals and Alloys: Aluminum, copper, nickel, lead, tin, titanium, zinc and their alloys, rare metals.
  • Metallic Functional Materials: Magnetic alloys, electrical alloys, thermal expansion alloys, elastic alloys, shape memory alloys, hydrogen storage alloys, biomedical materials, functional gradient materials, thin film materials, intelligent materials, the other metallic functional materials.
  • New Metallic Materials: Ordered intermetallic alloys, metal matrix composites, metallic nanomaterials.
  • Computational and Theoretical Approaches: Theoretical physics and chemistry of materials, molecular dynamics simulations, electronic structure calculations, phase-field simulations, first-principle calculations, finite element modeling.
READERSHIP
JMM offers a very broad readership covering all disciplines of sciences and engineering focused on materials science, metals, mining and metallurgy.
