			Aims and Scope
			Journal of Chemical and Biological Interfaces (JCBI) is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal which explores a broad range of chemical and biological properties of soft matter and bio-related materials, especially focusing on molecular interactions at interfaces. The interdisciplinary research themes include both experimental and computational studies in a broad range of interface-related topics:
			(i) Self-assembly of molecules, proteins and biomaterials; molecular thin films including Langmuir and Langmuir-Blodgett monolayers, biofilms, biological interface engineering, chemical and biological sensors, surface science and nanotechnology at the biological interface. (ii) Physical properties of various materials including organic, inorganic, metal, hybrid, and superhydrophobic interfaces; nanoparticles, polymers, surfactants, and biomolecules such as DNA, RNA, phospholipids, peptides and proteins; biomimetic lipid membranes; bio-fouling surfaces; protein patterns, nano- and micro-patterning surfaces; surface forces, wettability, lab-on-a-chip and microfluidics. (iii) Surface sensitive characterization including neutron and X-ray reflection, grazing-incident diffraction, non-linear optical or infrared spectroscopy, ellipsometry, ultra-fast laser spectroscopy, X-ray photoemission spectroscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, scanning or transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy. (iv) Computational and structural modeling approaches to chemical and biological interfaces. The journal publishes full research papers, timely review articles with author's photo and short biography, and communications of important new scientific findings, encompassing all fundamental and applied research aspects of chemical and biological interfaces in science, engineering and technology.
			The peer-reviewed proceedings of scientific meetings, symposia and workshops related to all disciplines are also published. Authors will receive the following benefits:
